Liverpool handed transfer boost as World Cup-winning target reportedly free to leave

According to L’Equipe via SkySports Germany, long-time Liverpool target Julian Draxler has been told he’s free to leave PSG by manager Unai Emery.

The German winger, 23, arrived the Parc des Princes from Schalke 04 in January for £36million on a 4-year deal, but the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe’s prospective entry will see him drop out almost completely of the first team plans.

Liverpool have been long linked with the winger, and while there is no dire need for attacking reinforcements at Anfield, having such a quality player can further boost their chances of winning silverware this term.

Arsenal are expected to revive their age-long interest in Draxler, meaning the Reds have got strong competition on their hands if they decide to enter the race.

The former Wolfsburg attacker has an exciting range of skills that could come handy under manager Jurgen Klopp’s style of play.

Draxler is an excellent dribbler, rarely losses possession and is a constant goal threat through his long-range efforts, perfect crosses, key passes and through balls.

He’s not good enough for PSG starting XI right now and he’s way better than being on their bench, so this is a big chance for Liverpool to complete a very exciting signature that have always desired.
