Norwich City striker Nelson Oliveira has said that he is happy with the Canaries amid reports suggesting that he could be set to join Wolverhampton Wanderers.
During the weekend, it was revealed that Wolves were on the market for new forwards and were considering signing Oliveira.
The Portugal international has now indicated that he is happy with Norwich and said, “I do not know about Wolverhampton’s possible interest, I admire Nuno Espirito Santo as coach and I even have friends at Wolves, but I’m happy at Norwich.
“I’m totally adapted and I feel cherished at the club, my coach is great and he likes me. There is no problem between us and we have a team to fight for the climb. I am totally focused on Norwich.”
It now appears that Wolves will have to look elsewhere as they look to bolster their side for the new season and hope to challenge for a place in the promotion playoffs.
The 26-year-old Oliveira scored 11 Championship goals for the Canaries last season and opened his account for this season by netting against Fulham.
