According to reports, West Brom are looking to soon sign Gareth Barry from Everton.
The 36-year-old Barry is unlikely to feature much for the Toffees should he remain at the club next season and with the club already boasting the likes of Tom Davies, Morgan Schneiderlin, Idrissa Gueye, Davy Klaassen and Muhamed Besic as choices in midfield, they may be open to letting him go.
The Baggies are said to be confident that they can finalize a deal for the veteran soon and will pay Everton a small fee.
Considering his vast experience in the Premier League, Barry will be able to assist the Baggies on the pitch as well as serve as a mentor for the younger players at the time.
He will also be keen to play as much as possible as he nears the end of his career and his first team prospects will likely be better at the Baggies.
