West Ham United sanction the transfer of attacker

It has been confirmed that Sofiane Feghouli has joined Turkish club Galatasary from West Ham for a fee of €4.25 million euros.

The Algerian international Feghouli arrived at the Hammers last summer from Valencia and did not enjoy the best of seasons as he went on to make 27 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals in the process.

Despite having represented France at youth international level, Feghouli opted to represent Algeria in senior international football and made history by scoring their first World Cup goal in 2014 against Belgium from the penalty spot.

The sale of Feghouli will provide valuable cash to Slaven Bilic’s side who started the new Premier League season on a low following a 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United during the weekend.

Feghouli will be keen to impress at the Turkish giants as he aims to win a place in the Algerian team that may play in the World Cup next summer.
