Following West Ham’s 4-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United on Sunday, it is easy to see why Slaven Bilic is one of the bookies favorite to be sacked first this season.
The Hammers appeared to have a timid approach to the game and paid the price as United comprehensively outplayed them and completed a thrashing through a brace from new signing Romelu Lukaku and further goals from Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba.
The Hammers handed debuts to experienced quartet Pablo Zabaleta, Javier Hernandez, Joe Hart and Marko Arnautovic but they could not make a difference on the day.
This season could be an uphill battle for the Hammers though in fairness they did miss key players on the day such as Michail Antonio, Cheikhou Kouyate, Manuel Lanzini and Andy Carroll.
The Hammers will need an immediate improvement in their confidence and will need to get points during their upcoming Premier League matches against Huddersfield and Newcastle if they want to put their season back on track.
