Morelia vs Pachuca Preview
Monarcas Morelia is one of five teams that have not won a game in this Apertura 2017. That first win of the new season looked like it was coming for Morelia in its last game against Queretaro as the team held a 1-0 lead up until the 79th minute. La Monarquia suffered a brutal 2-1 loss in that game but it was also their first loss of the tournament as Monarcas had three draws before this loss.
The biggest problem has been the inconsistent offense, which has underperformed massively, especially the Peruvian striker Raul Ruidiaz, who is yet to score a goal this season. This should be a very tough game for the team from Michoacán and the key for success will be that offense which has been underwhelming so far.
Pachuca is off to an extremely disappointing start to the Liga MX Apertura 2017 with only one win and three losses. Los Tuzos achieved their first win of the season this past weekend, in what was a very impressive 2-1 win against Tigres UANL. Liga MX newcomer Angelo Sagal scored his first goal in the Liga MX as well as club captain Erick Gutierrez, who also scored his first goal in the Apertura 2017.
Pachuca’s offense has also been very underwhelming and maybe Keisuke Honda will finally make his debut in the Liga MX to help this struggling Pachuca side. On paper, Los Tuzos do have the stronger squad and should be able to win this game but the game should be a very hard-fought encounter and there is no clear winner heading into the clash.
