Rangers boss backs his star for international recognition

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has commented on the international future of Graham Dorrans and revealed that the player will be returning to the Scotland national team.

The 30-year-old Dorrans arrived at the Gers this summer from Norwich City and will be a key player for the team this term as they look to re-establish themselves as giants of Scottish football.

Dorrans has earned 12 caps for the Scotland national team but many have been speculating that his international career could be over as he has not played for his country for the past two years.

Caixinha however revealed that he thinks that the player could return to the Scotland fold, saying, “I am not surprised that he hasn’t got more caps.

“But I expect from now on he could get that opportunity. He is a Scottish player, a great player, very professional and he’s a great guy too.

“Being closer to those who analyse and make the decisions will help him. If he continues to do well then I think he will have his chance and I hope that he does.”
