According to Kicker, newly-promoted Bundesliga side Hannover 96 are interested in securing the services of Liverpool duo Ben Woodburn and Ryan Kent on a season-long loan.
96 finished in 2nd place in the 2. Bundesliga last term to secure automatic promotion, and are keen on recruiting the Liverpool youngsters in order to boost their survival chances.
The Anfield outfit seem to be considering the deal, though, as they reportedly sent a representative to visit Hannover last week in order to assess the facilities and the set-up.
Kent, 20, and Woodburn, 17, were involved in Liverpool’s pre-season tour and also made the list of the 30-man squad to Germany training camp last week.
However, they aren’t guaranteed regular playing time in the new season. Kent, a winger, spent last season on loan at Championship side Barnsley, and he played 44 league games, scoring thrice.
Woodburn on the other hand spent a huge chunk of last season with the youth teams. But he played 5 Premier League games and became the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer last November.
There are assurances of regular football for them at Hannover, and the youngsters could sure do with some competitive experience in a top European league to speed up their growth.
