Tottenham boost as club reportedly set to reduce asking price of top target

Ross Barkley is hoping that Everton receive offers for him after the Merseyside club decided to drop his asking price to £35 million

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Barkley will be leaving the club this summer after he refused the chance to sign a new deal with the club.

This has reportedly led to interest from Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal. Everton initially wanted £50 million, however it now appears that they have lowered their price after no clubs were keen on that tag.

The Toffees will definitely sell this summer given that the player’s contract will be expiring next summer and they could end up losing him for nothing.

It is likely that he will be left out of the side named by Koeman that will play against Stoke next weekend.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy who is one of the toughest negotiators in world football could wait until the end of the summer in order to try and get a deal for as cheap as possible.
