According to reports, Liverpool and Tottenham could be set to battle in the race to sign Geoffrey Kondogbia.

Kondogbia is said to have failed to impress new Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti and this could result in him being sold this summer.

The 24-year-old Kondogbia also reportedly wants a fresh challenge nearly two years after joining the Italian club from Monaco for £25 million.

Liverpool are said to be looking to strengthen their midfield this summer given that Philippe Coutinho has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona and also as Emre Can’s contract is set to expire next summer.

It appears that Spurs are preferring on working with their current side rather than making new signings, given that they have yet to make a significant signings thus far this summer but they are now believed to have expressed an interest in Kondogbia.

During his time with Inter in total, the midfielder has managed to make 56 appearances in all competitions but has scored only two goals.
