Sunderland reportedly agree a transfer for 29-year-old attacker

According to reports, Jeremain Lens will soon be leaving Sunderland after the club agreed a fee with Turkish giants Besiktas over a sale of the player.

After impressing with Fenerbache last season, Lens was reportedly one of the main signings that Besiktas had in mind for this summer.

The 29-year-old Lens joined Sunderland in 2015 and arrived at the club whilst Dick Advocaat was manager.

After falling out of favor at the club when Sam Allardyce became manager though, he joined Fenerbache last summer and became one of the most dangerous attackers in the Turkish League.

For the Black Cats, who have limited funds, this transfer will be a welcome cash boost. They will now hope to invest in new striker and have been strongly linked with a move for Ross McCormack over recent days.

The Black Cats will certainly have plenty of hard work to do if they want to do well in the Championship this season.
