Leeds United and fierce rivals reportedly miss out on talented Italian

Leeds United and Manchester United have missed out on the signing of Italian wonder-kid Federico Brancollini, who has joined Fiorentina.

Respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has stated that the 16-year-old attracted the interest of Manchester United and Leeds, though he opted for Fiorentina as he wished to remain in his homeland.

The youngster will now ply his trade for the Fiorentina under-19 side during the new season.

As Brancollini is a highly rated youngster who could become a star over the coming years, it may have been a good option for the English giants to buy him now as his value could be set to skyrocket over the coming years.

Brancollini is however thought to not be the only rising talent that is on the Red Devils radar this summer. They are also aiming to lure Jadon Sancho from their rivals Manchester City but the move is going to be difficult.
