According to reports, Newcastle United have entered the race to sign out of favor Arsenal striker Lucas Perez though they are not willing to match the clubs £13.4 million valuation of the player.
The 28-year-old Perez is keen on move on from the Gunners following a disappointing first season with the club.
The Spanish international managed only 21 appearances in all competitions last season for the Gunners and scored seven goals. His chances of first team action next term have slimmed further following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette.
Deportivo La Coruna submitted a £9 million offer for Perez last week, though Arsene Wenger’s side are demanding £4 million more.
It is certain that the London giants are looking to offload Perez this summer as Lacazette was handed the number 9 jersey which he wore last season.
