Liverpool reportedly handed boost in hopes of completing record breaking deal

According to reports, RB Leipzig are set to perform a U-turn on their stance towards Naby Keita and will allow the player to join Liverpool.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a big admirer of Keita and his club have already seen bids of £57 million and £66 million rejected by the German club for their star who helped them surprise the world of football by finishing second in the Bundesliga last season.

The German club are now said to have performed a u-turn on their stance towards a sale of Keita though and may allow him to leave after all. Keita is also said to be wanting to move to Anfield ahead of next season.

The Guinea international Keita recently landed himself in trouble during a recent training ground incident with team-mate Diego Demme in Austria.

A challenge from Keita on Demme is said to have required the midfielder to undergo extensive treatment but a truce has been called since.
