Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he feels that Celtic is the perfect club for Olivier Ntcham, who recently joined the Bhoys from Manchester City for £4 million.

Ntcham left the Citizens after failing to make a first team appearance for the club during a five year stint, though he does have professional experience which was gained through a loan spell with Genoa.

Ntcham will likely receive regular playing time next season for Brendan Rodgers side, who will be aiming to defend their treble success of last season.

Madrid boss Zidane has now revealed that he feels that Celtic’s successes locally as well as their participation in the Champions League will help Ntcham in his development as a player.

The 1998 French World Cup winning hero Zidane said, “Celtic is the perfect club for him to mature and grow as a player – I am sure he looked at the season Dembele had and that is something he wants to replicate.

“The most important thing for a player of that age is to be playing regularly – and if you can be playing regularly for a club that is in the Champions League, then that is even better.”
