Star reveals that Rangers are still affected by humiliation

Rangers star Niko Kranjcar has revealed that his club’s shock exit from the Europa League at the hands of Luxembourg’s Progres Niederkorn still continues to affect them.

The Gers suffered a humiliating 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Luxembourg based outfit and during the aftermath of the match, many questioned whether manager Pedro Caixinha is the right man to re-establish the Gers as giants of Scottish football.

The Ibrox club however performed decently this past weekend as they earned themselves a 1-1 pre-season friendly draw with Marseille.

The Croatian international Kranjcar managed to find an equalizer for his club from a free-kick and admitted that the humiliating defeat continues to affect his club saying, “Unfortunately the European result happened, but fortunately there are still two weeks before the season starts.

“It was a really difficult time for all of us as none of us believed we would be allowed to lose that game. I think it is still there deep down emotionally in us, and we are ready to prove some people wrong.”
