Liverpool skipper Henderson speaks about the difficulty of playing in Hong Kong

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has said that his side’s pre-season tour of Hong Kong required the club to play on uneasy conditions but remains confident that the trip will serve his team well going into the new season.

The Merseyside club recently participated in the Premier League Asia trophy where they defeated Leicester City in the final.  The Reds had to play in heated conditions and had to conduct training sessions at night when it was cooler.

Henderson has now insisted that playing under difficult conditions will benefit his club and said, “It’s difficult conditions, very humid, but it’s good for us because it’s pre-season and we’ve got to get fit,” the Liverpool captain told the club’s official site.

“We’ll benefit from that when we go back home. It’ll give us that bit of confidence with how hard we’ve worked here in these conditions. We go back home happy, but [there’s] still a lot of hard work to do.”

They are now headed to Germany where they will play against Hertha Berlin and Bayern Munich.
