Celtic could head back to Ireland for the third round Champions League qualifiers

Scottish champions Celtic will face the winner of the matchup between Dundalk and Rosenborg, in the third round of Champions League qualifications.

If Celtic manage to navigate Linfield in the second round, the Bhoys will again go to Ireland or Norway.

However for that to happen, both Celtic and Dundalk first have to eliminate their respective opponents. After the first leg against Linfield, Celtic are in an excellent position as they hold a 2-0 advantage.

One more thing which gives the Hoops a massive advantage is that the rematch will be held at Parkhead.

Meanwhile, Dundalk and Rosenborg ended their first encounter with a draw, 1-1. The reverse leg will be played in Trondheim, Norway.

The Norwegian champions are in a better position because they have scored a goal on the road.
