This Saturday, July 15, 2017 (7:00 PM Pacific) the LA Galaxy will host Manchester United at the StubHub Center for a friendly match. Both teams have a lot to improve and could use the match for preparation for official league games to come.
The LA Galaxy is currently having a disappointing MLS season, eighth in the Western Conference with only 22 points. The French midfielder, Romain Alessandrini has been one of the few bright spots on the team and should be a key player to watch in this game. Of course, Giovani Dos Santos is always an intriguing player and it will be interesting to see how he does after a lackluster performance with the Mexican national team at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. The match should be an enormous test for the American side and is not one that they should win, even with the home-field advantage.
Manchester United lifted the English League Cup and the Europa League titles but still had a disastrous EPL campaign, finishing in sixth. Paul Pogba had a disappointing season, not living up to his ludicrous price tag but The Red Devils have already made some spectacular signings this offseason to strengthen the team. Swedish defender, Victor Lindelof from Benfica and Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku have come in to try and take Manchester United to be succesful in the nect Champions League.
This game will serve as preparation leading up to next season but should not be a difficult game by any means. The game should still be entertaining with the atmosphere in the stands also being something to look out for.
