West Ham reportedly planning a shock move for 27-year-old South American striker

According to reports, West Ham United are weighing up a move for West Brom striker Salomon Rondon.

It is likely however that the Baggies will only be willing to entertain a big offer for Rondon, especially considering how thin their squad already is.

During the previous transfer window, West Brom rejected a £32 million offer for the player from Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian and it appears that they have no plans to sell him this summer.

Rondon struggled for form last season and went on five month barren spell between mid-December and the start of May however West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is still interested in him.

Though they may be interested in signing him, it may be difficult for the Hammers to sign Rondon this summer.

They will have a better chance of signing Marko Arnautovic from Stoke especially as he has handed in a transfer request to his club, meaning a move is on the cards.
