West Ham reportedly sign talented youngster on three year deal

According to reports, West Ham have secured a deal to sign youngster Anouar El Mhassani from Ajax.  Dutch publication Ajax Showtime have claimed that the Hammers have signed the 16-year-old El Mhassani on a three year deal.

El Mhassani has opted to link up with the East London club after being informed by the Dutch giants that he would not be offered a new deal.

At just 16, it is unlikely that El Mhassani will feature for Slaven Bilic’s first team next season. Instead, he will probably drafted into the club’s youth ranks to continue his development as a player.

Thereafter, the following season, the youngster may be sent out on loan, transferred to the club’s under-23 team or possibly drafted into the first team depending on his progress.

As players’ value tends to skyrocket as they mature and develop as players, this could possibly be a good move for the Hammers.
