According to reports, Premier League club Southampton are considering an offer for Celtic star Stuart Armstrong.
Manager Mauricio Pellegrino is reportedly impressed by Armstrong, who played a big role in helping Celtic win treble success last season and was on the shortlist for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award last season due to his exploits.
Armstrong has just one year remaining on his current contract at Parkhead and it remains to be seen whether he would want to remain with his current club or fancy his chances of plying his trade in the Premier League.
Should he transfer to the St. Mary’s Stadium, he will not be the first player to swap the Bhoys jersey for that of Southampton, with the likes of Virgil van Diyk, Fraser Forster and Victor Wanyama having also done so during recent years.
Armstrong will be a good addition to the Southampton side though he will not come cheap.
