According to The Mirror, West Ham have begun talks with midfielder Pedro Obiang over signing a new deal with the club. Following a series of impressive performances this past season, Obiang has reportedly become the subject of interest from clubs such as Everton, Sevilla and AC Milan.
Obiang, who arrived at the Hammers from Sampadoria for £4.3 million in July 2015, has proven to be something of a bargain purchase, after his displays this pasts season saw him finish runner up in the Hammer Player of the year award to Michail Antonio.
Obiang’s current deal at the London Stadium is valid until 2019 and the East London Club will be hoping to extend it in order to retain his services as well as increase his market value in the event that he does wish to leave the club in the future.
It will be a big boost for the club, should Obiang sign a new deal.
