Kieran Tierney hopes Celtic can sign attacker from Premier League giants this summer

According to reports, Kieran Tierney has revealed that he wishes team-mate Patrick Roberts to remain at Celtic next season. After impressing for the Hoops this past season, Roberts has returned to parent club Manchester City.

Roberts also reportedly also developed a close relationship with Tierney during his 18 month stay at the club.

The defender is now hoping that Roberts will return to Parkhead next season and said, “He showed last season what he can do and he was part of what was an incredible season for us.

“Ideally I am sure that the manager would like to keep that whole team together for another go at it again for this season coming but it will be what it will be.”

It will definitely be good if Celtic do manage to keep Roberts as well as the core of their treble winning squad ahead of next season. However it remains to be seen whether he is a part of Pep Guardiola’s first team plans at City next season.
