According to reports, Everton have been linked with a move for Sassuolo striker Diego Falcinelli.
With it looking increasingly likely that Romelu Lukaku will depart Goodison Park this summer, Everton will need to make new signings this summer, particularly of strikers, as they look to challenge for a top four finish next season.
The 25-year-old Falcinelli was impressive this past season, notching 13 goals from 36 appearances and picking up two assists in the process.
No fees have been reported but it is likely that Sassuolo will be able to fetch a high amount for Falcinelli, considering that he is coming off an impressive season and also has three years remaining on his contract with the club.
Falcinelli recently was awarded his international debut and could be an affordable replacement for Lukaku from an Everton perspective. He may also be keen on the prospect of Europa League football.
