Everton attacker Gerard Deulofeu has revealed that he is confident that everything will work okay amid speculation linking him with a move back to former club Barcelona.
After falling down the pecking order at Everton under Ronald Koeman, Deulofeu spent the second half of this past season on loan with Serie A outfit AC Milan. During his time in Italy, he showed glimpses of brilliance scoring four goals and assisting with three during 17 appearances.
The form of the 23-year-old has reportedly alerted Barcelona, who may look to activate the buy-back clause, which was inserted into the youngster’s contract when he joined Everton permanently from the Catalan giants in 2015.
The Spanish international remained confident that things will work out for the best going forward, saying, “Maybe sometimes I’ve thought too much in the future. I’m living a very good moment in football and in the personal field, I’m calm.
“I have to think about the national team right now and then I have to choose the best option. It will be a busy summer in my case but I’m calm and everything will work out for sure.”
