Ex-Tottenham boss a shock favourite for the Leeds United job

According to the latest reports, Juande Ramos has become a shock favorite to become new Leeds United manager.

Garry Monk surprisingly resigned as manager of the Whites last week despite having finished in seventh position on the Championship standings, narrowly missing out on a place in the promotion playoffs.

The 62-year-old Ramos is currently without a job having parted ways with Spanish club Malaga in December with whom he won only 5 of the 18 games whilst in charge.

Ramos previously managed in England and will be remembered by many for his unsuccessful stint as manager of Tottenham.

The highlight of his managerial career came with Sevilla, whom he led to two UEFA Cups. Pep Clotlet, who served as assistant to Gary Monk, is currently the favorite to become new Leeds manager however the fact that the experienced Ramos has been added to the mix is certainly interesting.
