According to French source Le Buteur, Newcastle are closing in on a deal to sign Montpellier playmaker Ryan Boudebouz.
The 27-year-old Boudebouz who is versatile being able to operate as both an attacking midfielder and right winger has reportedly been valued at €15 million by Montpellier.
Magpies manager Rafa Benitez is still reportedly trying to negotiate a fee for a transfer but the two clubs are thought to be closing in on an agreement.
Boudebouz impressed in the Ligue 1 this season, scoring 11 times and providing 10 assists from 34 appearances in all competitions.
He will be a good signing for Benitez as he looks to bolster his side ahead of the Premier League season. His versatility will also be useful as Benitez will be able to deploy him on the right wing should there be a lack of creativity in that area.
The Algerian international Boudebouz who has 24 international caps for his country signed for Montpellier from Bastia in 2015 on a four year deal.
