Efe Ambrose is set to leave Celtic and sign a two year deal with Hibernian. The 28-year-old Ambrose spent the second half of this past season on loan with Hibernian and helped the club win the Scottish Championship in the process.
As he now looks to be surplus to requirements at Parkhead, he has agreed to move to Hibs permanently on a two year deal.
With the move, the Nigerian international will end a five year association with the Bhoys and also link up with manager Neil Lennon, who brought him to Celtic in 2012. During his spell with Celtic, Ambrose won four League titles, a Scottish Cup as well as a League Cup.
This is a move that will suit both parties. Ambrose will bring in experience to Hibs while the club will offer him regular game time.
St. Johnstone midfielder Danny Swanson and Dundee United striker Simon Murray are also expected to join Hibs permanently once their loan deals expire.
