Leeds United star reportedly on the verge of Premier League move

English Premiership club West Brom are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Charlie Taylor from Leeds.

The defender rejected a new contract with the club last summer and it is likely that he will be playing his football away from Elland Road next season.

A conflict with the clubs management reportedly led to the 23-year-old Taylor refusing to play when the Whites took on Wigan towards at the end of this season.

The Whites offered Taylor a new deal last month in order to ensure that they cash in from the club that the player opts to join next.

While it is extremely unlikely that Taylor will sign the deal, it will ensure that Leeds receive compensation from the club that he joins next which looks likely to be West Brom. The Baggies will aim to reach a settlement as soon as possible in order to avoid a tribunal.
