Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic has revealed his delight at scoring the goal which secured the Scottish Cup for his side on Saturday. The Australia international netted a goal in the 89th minute of the match to clinch a 2-1 win for his side.
The 24-year-old Rogic said, “It’s an amazing feeling to score the winner. It’s hard to describe what it feels like to score a goal like that and then go and jump into the crowd.
“It’s impossible to put it into words, but it’s probably the best feeling you can have on the football pitch to score the winner in the last minute.”
Rogic has netted 12 goals from 37 appearances for the Bhoys this season, in what has been one of the clubs most successful campaign in its history.
While Rogic has enjoyed a fine season, he will aim to become a establish himself as a player who is a straight starter within the team ahead of next year.
