Everton reportedly eye Milan attacker as potential replacement for Lukaku; £15million asking price

Everton are reportedly willing to pay £15 million to lure Watford loanee M’Baye Niang from AC Milan. Niang has failed to impress during his time with the Hornets, scoring just two goals after arriving on loan in January.

The 22-year-old Niang is said to have texted Watford owner Gino Pozzo asking to leave England. Though the deal was meant to turn permanent this summer, it now looks in doubt.

The French international’s attitude also came under scrutiny after he walked straight down the tunnel after being substituted against Chelsea.

Everton are looking to recruit new strikers to fill in the void of Romelu Lukaku, who is set to depart this summer, with Niang being one of the players they are monitoring.

Though Niang wishes to return to Italy, a promise of first team football under Koeman at Everton could be tempting. The Toffees also have the funds available to meet Milan’s evaluation.
