Newcastle are said to be eyeing the signature of Watford youngster Dion Pereira this summer, according to the Chronicle. The 18-year-old has not yet signed a professional deal with the Hornets despite breaking into the first team this past season.
Pereira has been with Watford since he was eight and recently won the clubs Young Player of the season award, which indicates that the club may be hesitant to part ways.
However given the fact that Watford have sacked Walter Mazzarri and regularly change managers, the youngster is said to be considering his future at the club.
Should Pereira decide on a new challenge, he will not be short of options as in addition to the Magpies, West Ham, Brighton and Hove Albion and Reading are all rumored to be interested.
If Pereira joined Newcastle, he will probably be placed in the under-23 side in order to prove that he is worthy of first team action.
