One of the most active teams recently on the market has been Xolos of Tijuana who have made several moves within the last few days. Most of the moves have not been made official by the club yet but are being announced by reliable members of the media.

The move that has been made official by Club Tijuana is the change in manager. Miguel Herrera is now the manager of Club America while the Xolos have brought in Eduardo Coudet. The Argentine coached in his native Argentina with Rosario Central and does have experience in the Liga MX having played with Necaxa and San Luis from 2007-2010. The move is an intriguing one that has also sparked another move within the coaching staff.

Miguel Herrera’s assistant coach, Diego Ramirez has joined Ascenso MX side, Dorados de Sinaloa and will serve as the team’s manager. There was a huge surprise in Sinaloa earlier in the week as Gabriel Caballero announced that he would no longer be the manager of the Ascenso side. Ramirez, 35 showed a plethora of maturity and professionalism this season, being the Xolos’ manager for five games during a suspension for Miguel Herrera.

John Sutcliffe of ESPN announced earlier via Twitter that Milton Caraglio would form part of Atlas and Diego Valdes of Morelia would move to Tijuana. None of the clubs have confirmed the deals but Sutcliffe is a reliable source as he announced the Miguel Herrera to Club America deal weeks before it was made official. Caraglio will be a tough loss for Club Tijuana as there are not many players out there like him and he was a valuable component this season, scoring five goals.

The other deal that is said to be almost official is the transfer of Aviles Hurtado to Monterrey for the hefty sum of nine million dollars according to Diario Record. Hurtado was Club Tijuana’s top scorer with eight goals this season and Eduardo Coudet will need to find a replacement for him soon. Xolos are currently in a transitional stage and more moves are likely to come.
