Everton’s chances of luring Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker have taken a blow if reports from the Sun are to be believed.
The Toffees reportedly made a £15 million bid for the 22-year-old who has been a regular within the Anderlecht side for the past three seasons. However the Belgian club have reportedly indicated that they will not sell this summer.
Dedoncker has made 56 appearances in all competitions this season for Anderlecht scoring five goals. Ronald Koeman is said to have been viewing Dendoncker as a potential replacement for Gareth Barry, who at 36-years-of age, is nearing the end of his career.
The chances are high that the Belgian international will want to compete against the biggest stars in world football and be open to moving to the Premier League at some point. For now though, it looks like Anderlecht view him as part of the plans and will not be selling.
