Everton eye Argentine attacker as potential replacement for Barkley

Everton are trying to sign West Ham star Manuel Lanzini, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

With Ross Barkley looking increasingly likely to leave Goodison Park at the end of the season, the Toffees will need more creative options and Lanzini will be a good choice as he has proven that he has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League as he did with West Ham this season.

Since the departure of Dimitri Payet in January, Lanzini has gone on to establish himself as arguably West Ham’s most influential player and has bagged eight goals in 33 appearances for the Hammers this season.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman also has an interest in Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson and the Toffee’s are reportedly willing to pay £25 million to bring him to the club.

It is unlikely that Everton will sign both Lanzini and Sigurdsson as they will have to fork out another £30 million should they wish to sign the Argentine star.
