Pachuca will look to strengthen its team after a disappointing Clausura 2017 campaign where Los Tuzos missed the playoffs. Pachuca struggled to become a scoring threat in the tournament with only 16 goals throughout the Clausura and will look for options in attack and midfield.
According to sports site, AS, a representative of Fernando Gago has offered the services of the Argentine to Pachuca because Gago is interested in playing in the Club World Cup. Pachuca does look like it will be reinforcing its club for the upcoming season to have a strong run in the Club World Cup.
Gago, 31, has had an extensive career playing with some of the best teams in the world like Boca Juniors, Real Madrid, Roma and Valencia. The veteran started his career with Boca Juniors and has had a second stint with the team since 2013. This season, Gago has played in 16 games between league play and the Copa Libertadores and has scored two goals for the Buenos Aires club.
Pachuca should have a plethora of talent coming in but will also most likely be without Hirving Lozano who may be on his way out to Europe. Los Tuzos do currently have some talented midfielders like Erick Gutierrez and Jorge Hernandez but Gago could add some leadership to the team and help solidify Pachuca’s passing game.
