Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has admitted that Tottenham have showed more quality and confidence than his side this season after the Gunners fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the London rivals on Sunday.
“This is a very big disappointment for us. With all the emotions, I have to say that we met a team that was full of confidence, well organised and they are having their best season. I think that showed, that little bit of more confidence and quality on their side”, said Cech.
Second half goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane which leaves Arsenals chances of qualifying for the Champions League this season in jeopardy.
Arsene Wenger’s side are now also a massive 17 points behind Spurs and are set to finish below their rivals for the first time since the Premier League’s inception.
Whether or not Arsenal retain the services of long-serving manager Wenger will be a big talking point for the coming weeks.
