Sunderland manager David Moyes has said that it is too soon to commit to the club for another season after the Black Cats were officially relegated on Saturday after falling to 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Moyes has faced criticism from fans and pundits amid Sunderland’s poor performances this season, with some calling for him to step down.

“I think it’s a question for two or three weeks’ time,” said Moyes. “I think we all need to reflect and look at everything from top to bottom.”

Moyes was appointed as manager after Sam Allardyce left the club last summer for a brief stint as manager of England. For the former Manchester United and Everton, this is the first time in his entire career that he has experienced relegation.

Though some questionable signings were made, Moyes cannot be entirely held to blame for the relegation as the board also failed to provide him with sufficient capital to make quality signings.
