Everton manager Ronald Koeman has revealed that he wishes to sign a midfielder that can score goals during the summer.
Though Everton have played impressive football this season, they will need to add more quality players into their team during the summer if they wish to compete for a place in the Champions League and challenge for trophies next season.
Koeman said that he wishes to sign a midfielder who can score at least 10 goals a season, more than what Ross Barkley and Kevin Mirallas have notched this season.
The Dutchman said, “We need more players scoring goals other than strikers. We talk about players who are really more productive than we have, that’s important.”
With top scorer Romelu Lukaku destined to leave Goodison Park at the end of the season, it is essential that the Toffees also sign proven goal scorers during the summer if they wish to continue the progress that they have made this season.
