Leeds United manager Gary Monk has said that his side has to change their mindset now that they are no longer in the Championship playoff positions.
The Whites dropped out of the playoff positions after suffering a disappointing 1-0 loss to Wolves during the weekend. Though the Yorkshire club are behind sixth place Fulham on goal difference, they have a great opportunity to claim a valuable three points during the fixture against Burton during the weekend.
Monk said to BBC Radio Leeds, “We’re on the hunt now. We’ve got three games to do it now and we have to play for our lives. I know 100% that this group will give everything in these next three games and if we take nine points then we give ourselves a great chance.”
Leeds will have to improve their performances if they hope to win promotion to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
