Everton agree a deal for central midfielder

Youngster Harry Charsley has signed a new deal with Everton which will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2019.

The 20-year-old has been rewarded for his good performances for Everton under-23’s this season, which have helped the team to challenge for the Premier League 2 title this season.

The Toffees will be looking to send Charsley on loan next season in order to help him gain match experience at a senior level and evaluate whether he will one day be capable of being promoted to their own first team. For the remainder of the season though, his aim will be to help his team win the Premier League 2 title.

“I’m delighted to sign the new deal,” said the youngster. “I’ve worked hard every year, tried to get better every season and with the help of all the coaches here, I feel like I have done that. It has been a good run so far and now I want to keep it going.”
