Everton look at Aston Villa star as a potential replacement for Lukaku

According to reports Everton and Stoke City are eyeing Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia. Despite Villa having a disappointing season in the Championship, Kodjia has been on sparkling form and bagged his 19th goal of the season against Burton during the weekend.

The 27-year-old is on track to become the first Villa player to bag 20 League goals since Peter With did so, when he helped the team win the First Division during the 1980/81 season.

Steve Bruce will be reluctant to sell the French attacker due to his goal scoring ability, however should a Premier League team come with an offer, there may be little that he may be able to do to prevent a transfer.

A move to Everton may be appealing especially considering that they are progressing under Ronald Koeman. With Romelu Lukaku set to leave during the summer, the Toffees will also be looking to sign new strikers.
