Sunderland seem destined for relegation and are praying the price for “naivety” according to forward Victor Anichebe.
With seven games remaining, the Black Cats are ten points adrift of safety and based on their current form, it seems almost impossible for them to avoid the drop.
Anichebe thinks that sloppy play from Sunderland has been costing his team, saying, “I always speak honestly, I think we have a bit of naivety in our play sometimes.”
David Moyes team fell to yet another defeat during the weekend as they lost 3-0 to Manchester United.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring during the first half, and while the Black Cats remained in the game until Seb Larsson was red carded just before half time, Henrikh Mkhitaryan doubled the lead for United just after the break.
Despite Sunderland losing for the 21st time in the League this season, there fans are unconditionally sticking with them. The club must aim to make the supporters proud by playing with pride for the remaining matches of the season.
