Sunderland manager David Moyes is expecting a chaotic summer for his team, who are likely to be playing in the Championship next season.

The Black Cats have been struggling throughout the season and due to their poor form, it is unlikely that they will be able to avoid the drop this season.

Though Moyes has come under criticism, club owner Ellis Short recently announced that the 53-year-old will remain manager even if the club is relegated.

The club will likely lose two of their best players this season, namely veteran striker Jermain Defoe and highly rated goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Lamine Kone, Wahbi Khazri, Jan Kirchhoff and Didier N’Dong, who is the club’s record signing, are also expected to leave as they will be in search of clubs that play in the top tier.

Moyes said, “Unfortunately, I think there will be a change around of players again. Lots of players came in on loan or free transfers last summer and there will be a big turnaround of players again.”
