Everton and West Ham battle to sign striker with only 2 goals this season

According to a report by The Sun, West Ham lead a three way battle to lure Wilfried Bony from Stoke City. The Ivorian is currently on loan at the Potters from Manchester City and appears not to be part of the future plans of both clubs.

He is reportedly unsettled at Stoke and this become apparent after he recently revealed his frustration at being left out of the squad despite declaring himself fit to play.

Bony was top scorer for the year of 2014 during his time with Swansea City and the form the striker displayed during his time with the Welsh outfit saw him win a move to mega-rich Manchester City.

His time with the Citizens was however effectively ended by the arrival of Pep Guardiola as manager, who made him available for transfer.

Everton are also reportedly monitoring the 28-year-old as they look for possible signings given that Romelu Lukaku is destined to be sold during the summer.
