West Ham reportedly plotting shock move for Arsenal attacker

West Ham are reportedly eyeing a move for out of favor Arsenal striker Lucas Perez. After failing to establish himself as a regular within Arsene Wenger’s first team, the 28-year-old is expected to leave during the summer.

After arriving from Serie A outfit Deportivo La Coruna, Perez has scored 7 goals from 21 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners this season but has failed to hold down a regular first team starting place, having been unable to move above the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Danny Welback in the pecking order.

This has alerted West Ham who will be looking to strengthen their misfiring attack during the summer.

Perez infamously made visible his annoyance with coaching staff and team mates after Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League thrashing against German giants Bayern Munich and is reportedly unhappy at the Emirates Stadium.

Should West Ham offer a fee similar to what Arsenal paid Deportivo for the player’s services, a deal may be on the cards.
