Sunderland manager David Moyes has vowed that he will stay with the club regardless of which division the club will be playing in next season.

The Black Cats are currently languishing in last position on the Premiership standings with 20 points from 28 games and are seemingly destined for relegation.

Reports this week have claimed that owner of the club Ellis Short has confirmed to Moyes that he will remain manager of the club regardless of what happens to the club at the end of the season.

While the 53-year-old manager is still aiming to try to help the club avoid relegation, he explained, “I always felt I had that from the day I came in.

“It was always said right away there’s probably a bigger job to be done and it might take a bit more time, so if you say that, then you want to stay with it.”
