West Ham legend explains how Bilic needs to be supported

Sky Sports pundit Tony Gale has suggested that West Ham need to support manager Slaven Bilic by giving him sufficient capital to make investments during the summer.

Bilic currently has 15 months remaining on his contract at the London Stadium and has come under increasing pressure during recent weeks after the Hammers have failed to win their last five matches and are currently on a run of three consecutive defeats.

Co-owner David Sullivan issued a public apology to fans of the club after their 3-2 defeat to Leicester City and many supporters of the East London club have criticized Bilic as the £40 million he spent on new recruits last summer does not seem to have paid dividends.

“I don’t think the board helped by apologising for results, you don’t need to apologise as Slaven is trying his hardest,” Gale said on Premier League Daily.

“As far as I am concerned, all the ex-players are concerned and the majority of fans are concerned, everyone is behind him.”
