Everton are reportedly favorites to sign Burnley defender Michael Keane according to The Daily Star. The Merseyside club were recently linked with the signature of the 24-year-old and are likely to resume their interest during the summer.
As Ramiro Funes Mori and the aging Phil Jagielka have been largely unconvincing this season, Ronald Koeman will be looking to add extra defensive support to Ashley Williams and the club look to build upon the progress they have made this season.
The Toffees however are not the only club interested in the England international, who made his debut on Wednesday against Germany. Both Manchester clubs, Chelsea as well as Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on his progress.
However Everton are favorites according to bookies and director of trading at BetStars Ian Marion who said, “Everton are the clear favourites to sign Keane at 11/10 followed by their Merseyside rivals Liverpool at 11/4, whilst Man City are outsiders in the race for the Burnley youngster’s signature at 14/1.”
